This program will disseminate information and educate on conservation issues locally, nationally and regionally. This is important because most conservation initiatives are untenable without community inclusion and buy-in due to communities being inadequately informed and in some cases completely uninformed. The same challenge also faces development projects that often stall, incurring millions of dollars in delays and legal hurdles. Information to policy makers in appropriate form including policy briefs ensures political decisions are based on accurate information and knowledge. Timely and accurate information paves the way for successful project implementation and resource management; and can be the difference between success and failure of a project or conservation initiative.
