CSA collaborated with i-Lab, Strathmore University in 2014 to develop i-Conserve, an android based smartphone-internet server data solution aimed at providing technical solutions for data management for monitoring and evaluation purposes. This system is useful for data collection, centralization and management for diverse uses.
i-Conserve platform is currently being customized for T-Shine Project, a collaboration of CSA, Strathmore University, the French Institute of Research for Development (IRD) and the Kenya Wetlands Biodiversity Research Team (KENWEB).
T-shine project aims at collection of data on the Tana River Delta through involvement of communities. I-Conserve will be used to enable centralization and assessment of hydrological and biodiversity data.
